Privacy Policy

This policy covers the Convert Currency Fast app for iPhone and its widgets and Shortcuts actions.
1. Overview
There’s no account and no advertising, and the app doesn’t track you across other apps or websites. To find bugs and see which features get used, the app sends anonymous usage statistics and crash reports to Google Firebase. Your currency list and the amounts you type stay on your device.
2. Data Stored on Your Device
The app saves your chosen currencies, your last amount and the latest exchange rates on your device. They’re kept in storage shared with the app’s widget and Shortcuts actions so those can show the same values. This data is never sent to us.
3. Usage Statistics (Google Firebase Analytics)
The app uses Firebase Analytics to understand how it’s used as a whole. Firebase collects:
- a random identifier for this installation of the app. It is not your advertising ID, and it resets if you delete and reinstall the app.
- app events such as app opens, screens viewed, session length and completed in-app purchases
- device and app information: device model, iOS version, app version, language
- approximate location at the country or city level, worked out from your IP address. Your IP address itself isn’t stored.
We don’t set a user ID, and none of this is linked to your name, email or Apple ID. We use it only to improve the app, never for advertising.
4. Crash Reports (Google Firebase Crashlytics)
If the app crashes, Crashlytics sends a crash report. It contains the technical state of the app at the moment of the crash, your device model, iOS version and app version, and a random installation identifier. Crash reports don’t contain the amounts you type.
5. Exchange Rates Data
The app periodically fetches current exchange rates from a reliable financial data provider to ensure accuracy during currency conversions. Requests to this service do not contain or store any personal user data.
6. In-App Purchases
Purchases are processed entirely by Apple through the App Store. We never see your name, Apple ID or payment details.
7. Tracking and Advertising
The app shows no ads. It doesn’t access your device’s advertising identifier (IDFA), and it doesn’t share data with data brokers or advertising networks. We don’t sell your data.
8. Data Retention
Analytics data is kept for up to 14 months, and crash reports for up to 90 days. After that Google deletes them.
9. Google as Data Processor
Google processes Firebase data on our behalf under its Firebase terms. See the Firebase privacy information at firebase.google.com/support/privacy.
10. Children’s Privacy
The app isn’t directed at children under 13 and doesn’t knowingly collect personal information from them.
11. Your Rights
Because the data we receive isn’t linked to your identity, we usually can’t find records that belong to you. Deleting the app resets its identifiers, so new data can’t be connected to old data. If you’d like to ask about or delete your data, email us and we’ll help as far as we’re able.
12. Changes to This Policy
If this policy changes materially, we’ll update this page and the date above before the change ships.
